Serbia and Serbians still think to that Kosovo is not a country. With that thinking, do they think that Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, and all other countries from former Yugoslavia are not countries, either but Serbia's? When debates happen on social media most Serbians always respond "What did we do?" And point fingers at other former Yugoslavia countries as Serbia is innocent. No country is perfect, but the fact of the matter is Serbia has had more problems with-in Yugoslavia then any other country.
While other countries were working hard for Yugoslavia when Milosevic was in power, Serbs and there country sat there and just let the money flow in. Slovenia and Croatia both claimed independence June 24, 1994. There have always been some border wars with-in the former country, but tensions are rising between Serbia and Albania for Kosovo. Kosovo is 50/50 Split of Muslims and Orthodox. Kosovo did gain independence from Serbia February 17, 2008 and was recognized by 111 UN states. The only country that did not recognize is Serbia. So if we go back to the history books the Serbian way, Yugoslavia still exists. With tensions rising, war could be in the near future. Russia is backing the Serbians.
